Scan from a chrome, Virgin Islands. 90% of the scans I've made or had done commercially are a disappointment, IQ deteriorates, sometimes unform-tone areas pick up a texture, and almost always the colors get flat and "muddy." No amount of PP I apply comes near to correcting any of these problems.

Beautiful spot. I believe the technical name for such lakes is "tarn" = water collecting in the hanging Alpine meadows along the stepped long profile of a glaciated valley (sometimes called "cyclopean steps").

Canadian Rockies, scan from a chrome converted to B&W because I didn't like the way to colors looked in the scan and nothing I did with saturation, contrast, luminance of individual color channels made it right.
