I spent most of my childhood in Ohio, so that song has a particular resonance for me.

Fortunately no. It's too isolated, neither a population center nor a major road anywhere nearby.

changing skyline... sad

recently a new skyscraper went up in Seattle

When viewed from the iconic Kerry Park the new skyscraper is right behind the space needle making the needle not stand out as much.

I think the space needle was much sexier before. This one from 2017.

Our flat, little country - that I dearly love - on a cold February afternoon.

I think that in the second image, the top of the building fits exactly into a down-to-the-right diagonal that leads your eye to the distant mountain, then back up to the Space Needle. It fits perfectly into that designer-perfect composition. Crowding the composition a bit more, down from the top and up some from below would enhance that diagonal even more.

You mean have them build more buildings to fill in the gaps so that there is a leading line from top of the needle sloping down towards Mt Rainier just for my compositional purposes? Hey that's an awesome idea Do you have contact to Bazos? May be he will agree to put in couple more tall buildings

What it needs is a building taller & wider than all the others, gilded from top to bottom
and across the very top in gigantic, blindingly bright neon letters. T - - - - P!

Oh no I googled and just realized that he had one (no neon letters though) in our neighbor to the north.
