Trying to use some isolation time to finally process photos from my travels over the past few years: From February 2019, an evening walk in rural Andhra Pradesh in south central India.

Along the trail to a hot spring in Oregon. Taken with an early "megazoom" which was my first digital camera. The IQ is good. BTW: SFAIK the memory cards for this camera are no longer manufactured.

Walt, exif shows a Fujifilm S9000. Apparently the dual card slots allow use of CF (compact flash) cards as well as the xD cards. CF cards are still available on ebay - I grabbed a couple 4 gb cards for my *ist D recently.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to check the body. I only ever had two XD cards for it. Never noticed, or don't remember noticing a big slot for a CF card.

I have a few old XD Cards from an old FujiFilm camera. Camera still goes, sort of.

Olympus used to make a MASD-1 Micro SD adaptor for XD Cards too. Not sure if they work with every camera.

That picture looks pretty good on screen. Just goes to show that no camera is ever really obsolete.

Except for the tree at right, a mostly featureless landscape.

I think I ran into an xD card in a drawer recently, two of my kids had Olympus P&S cameras that took them, and my son had an Olympus E-520 4/3 DSLR that took them or CF cards. Odd, Olympus abandoned their proprietary memory card and the 4/3 mount from the E (Evolt) Series.

From tonight:
