Thanks Tony. Fortunately it was a cold snow with a texture perfect for a blower, except for some hard-packed at the end of our driveway by the plows.

You should enjoy this one. Back in the mid-1970s my company transferred me to the Tacoma, Washington office from here in Portland. The next morning I arose, looked out

the window and could see all this white stuff on the ground. I turned on the radio to get the weather report only to hear that Boeing Corporation actually called their entire

second shift and told them to not report to work that afternoon because of the terrible winter conditions which dumped a Grand Total of three inches of snow. Can you

believe it? Three inches? OMG!

When a student at Berkeley it snowed once in the winter, mostly a layer that partially covered the grass but generally melted on roads. Across the bay Mount Tamalpais was all white. For a New Englander it was hardly worth mentioning, but so rare in the Bay Area that it made front page headlines.
