I came across these today, searching through my file...thought I wanna share.. It's a path that leads to a small church (Virgin Mary, on the ruins of an old fortress). Timing made those shots worth it. The light was beautiful...As the sun came lower and lower, the sea became golden-red. A small flashlight , diffused by a plastic bag, helped me bring up some detail on the foreground (camera flash was a disappointment).

Pali overlook on Oahu. Late in the day (~6PM) and overcast, worst time of day and unless it were pouring rain, the worst conditions for a photograph of what is regarded as one of the most beautiful and dramatic scenic spots in Hawaii.

Really glad you liked it Tony. Not much skill or planning on my part, just blind luck being at the right place, right time with a camera that knows how to handle the scene.
