Had a fast moving weather system go by last night with a bunch of mammatus clouds. They were moving so fast I just went out and fired away with what I had on my camera at the time, trying different settings and exposures while I moved around the yard.

The one with the flash was an accident that turned out kind of ominous looking. The other two are unprocessed JPGs, I am thinking I might play with some of the RAW files to see if I can clean up some of the sparklies.
#3 looks like it was boiling! Nice!

These clouds stick to the sky
Like floating questions, why?
And they linger there to die.
They don't know where they are going
And, my friend, neither do I.

Those are called cloud streets. They're caused by very strong winds aloft perpendicular to the streets.

That sounds about right-the wind was howling for the last 3 days.
