I hope I haven't posted this one before. I just can't stop taking pictures of this meandering river - love it! This one is just as much about the clouds though,

Very nice and a repost wouldn't hurt this lovely scene! Thanks for sharing.

Two shots of today's clouds. First shows the remnants of last night's t-storms on their way out and the second shows the same clouds through the framework of the damage to one of our trees caused by tropical storm Isaias when it went through 4 days ago. That's one tree out of 4 that sustained similar damage in our yard, as did other trees in our neighbors' yards, similarly damaged. The last time that happened, it was verified by NWS as being caused by a small (less than EF-1) tornado bouncing from treetop to treetop, twisting each of them and causing this type of damage. Based on the damage and the noise when it went through this time (sounding like the proverbial freight train), I am assuming this was another sub-EF-1 tornado that never reached the ground. We didn't even lose power although our neighbors on the other side of the street are still without power going into the 4th day.

Tom,
Any earthquake down your way this morning? We were doing trail maintenance about 3 miles from the epicenter Saturday. It was "interesting" at best since we are about nine miles from Sparta. It felt like our house was a 40 year old washing machine doing a vertical shimmy for about 5 seconds.
