With Tamron Adptall2 SP F2.5 90mm and K10D at iso 100

(I'm surprised the tree tops aren't a total blur. The wind was wild, and branches were moving several feet back and forth. It had gotten darker around the time I took this shot, and I couldn't use an extremely high shutter speed, as I could with a shot I posted in the Trees thread. But then I mainly wanted to get the cloud colors.)

Sounds like the same system that cruised through our area yesterday evening. I was too lazy to get any pictures.

Yeah, it was violently windy all day here, but the sun was out between the clouds most of the time, and it wasn't that chilly, if you didn't stand in the worst of the wind a long time. It's supposed to be windy today, just less so, but so far it's been still.

Some monochrome clouds. I was shooting through a dirty windshield, so post-processing was a nightmare. There might be some dirt left still.

Give me a long enough pole and I'll stir the clouds like a cup of coffee. Who said that, or did I just make it up? I got some slightly wacky, but fun, results trying my old Samigon 180-degree Fish-eye on the front of my Helios 44-2 f2 58mm. The Helios made the edges especially fuzzy, and the low winter morning sun was flaring in practically all the shots. Camera: K10D at iso 100. This is along the eastern bank of the Illinois River at Pekin, Illinois.

Here's another one, with a towboat pushing a string of barges along the far side of the channel. Actually, I like the clouds better in this one:
