The guide commented that this model was particularly big with returning servicemen as the fighter plane styling cues were exactly what they wanted - then matched by the Austin model featured earlier.

Ah - my dad was one of those "returning servicemen". But I don't recall him mentioning the aircraft-like appearance of those cars to me. He owned a few other later model Stude's - a Golden Hawk among them.
