Nice pix.

I'm a Hudson Hornet fan. See in the pix that this red Hornet has the big enine...the Twin H powered (twin carbs) inline, flathead six. Think it had about 308 cubic inches and in the early '50's was the winning scourge of the NASCAR race tracks.

The early '50's Hornets were fast and handled well.

The Hudson seems overendowed with rear vision mirrors.
There are at least two, what is the third bit of chrome at the front of the door or rear of the mudguard (fender)? Is it another mirror?

Arjay, you have moved!! From FNQ to Tassie. (I just noticed. Sometimes I'm a bit slow)
Have you noticed the weather is a bit different?

Still have to use the split system just in a different mode.

Never had to use it on 'heat' before?
You'll use it less on 'cool' too.

Seriously, you will use the cooler a (little) bit.
The weather can change quickly there and is a bit unpredictable.
I knew a Taswegian once who had been to Cradle Valley a number of times but had never seen Cradle Mountain.
My own experience is more limited, but similar; got the bus up to Dove Lake and no sign of the mountain, white caps on the lake, and d-i-l said she had never felt so cold.
The photo is off-topic, but shows my point;

Recursive Chevrolet

At a car show last night, I saw this model of a beautiful yellow 1953 Bel Air, parked on the front seat of a beautiful yellow 1953 Bel Air. Perhaps, on the seat of the model, you will find another, smaller, beautiful...

Those are real classics. Not quite so old is my BMW R1000 in 1978. I sold it after a few years, and haven't ridden since.

I remember drooling at the 1948 Hudson when it came out. I swore that when I grew up, I was going to buy one of those sleek low slung models. Alas, I never thought the world would change and that option die with Hudson.

And then some. I remember these when they came out, they made our humble 1953 Consul look minuscule. This one looks restorable. I always hope they don't "mod" them, as much of their charm is as living history.
