The Spoon River Scenic Drive Fall Festival isn't one of those punkin festivals, but you can get a you a punkin or some gourds in Astoria, or Duncan Mills, or other participating towns, especially on a rainy day when you'll have less competition making your choices.

After 12 months, it's time to reboot this thread.

Went to the Royal Melbourne Show, mainly to see the sheep. I tried to travel light: K-S2, DA 20-40 Ltd, FA 43 Ltd and FA 77 Ltd. But I added the DA 55-300 PLM at the last minute, and it proved useful. I used all the lenses.

This was the interbreed competition, where category champions of different breeds competed.

Corriedale ram

This Wiltshire ram worked out where to hang his prize ribbon.

Border Leicester ewe with twin lambs.

Southdown.

South Suffolk.

White Dorper.

We were particularly interested in these Romneys, because we have Romney ewes as pets.

A few pictures from London Mills, Illinois, during the Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive fall festival. We were a bit early for music in the riverfront park, and there seemed to be more antique and "collectibles" sellers than local craft demonstrators this year.
