This old Ferguson still earns it's keep ... note the new tyres!

This old Fordson lay in the corner of a local field for many years, then one day it wasn't there. I hope it went to a good home!

Old tractors often find a new lease of life locally launching and retrieving boats.

A colour image of a beautifully restored 1910's International Harvester Titan 10-20 with the engine running, shown at Pioneer Acres in Irricana, Alberta. And another of my grandfather's images from the Saskatchewan homestead in late 1910's, scanned from one of his negative that I haven't cleaned.

Great pix from the prairies. I especially like that older B+W of the old tractor plowing the prairie.

For years now, I've wanted to go to the Threshermen's Reunion , in Manitoba, west of Winnipeg. I'm not getting any younger, so I think I may give it a shot next year. My family has farmed in Manitoba since 1878, although I'm a city boy.

Your first picture made me think of that priority.

Another possibility is a McCormick Deering, from '20s or '30s.

This old work-horse helping the crab-boat up the beach.
Local tides are some of the highest in the world, with up to 40ft/12.5m of vertical rise and fall on a spring tide.
The boats need to be in the shelter of the harbour for the night, even if there's no water to get them there when they come home!
