Great thread and landscapes here, I do prefer tele over wide most of the time.

Indeed it is a great thread Kevin, and landscapes with teles have a special look that those posting here seem to appreciate. Your images here have a real 'sense of Europe' in them. A nice selection mate.

Ooh, I assumed it was Mangart, but now I am not so confident anymore Really great composition and use of the telephoto, though

Mostly I wanted this thread to show to people that wider is not always better for landscapes, that even telephoto lenses can produce wonderful landscape photos. Wide angle just makes things.. small! And you have to worry that your own feet aren't in the frame

Sometimes even 100mm is not telephoto enough:
