To avoid conflict with the excellent BIF thread which was started first

This thread is looking for wing span photos where the object has some connection with another object

Land, tree etc

Not those in the air

it's been nonsensical from the start:

QuoteQuote:
Wing Span" (found in nature, on the ground, trees etc, stretching,)

the thread has evolved -

despite the mention of "birds", we are not limiting this to only the wing spans of birds, other appropriate photos of natural wing spans of animals or insects would be welcomed.

I am posting the description of the photos we are looking to include in the thread just to remind folks and new visitors of its intent. The intent is not to compete with the BIF thread.

cross posting of photos is welcomed. There are a lot of threads in the forums where you can choose to post your photos and we want this to be one of them.

Thanks to the contributions and to those just looking

if you find one of these as a bird in flight

then you have a historic photograph

they are always going to spread their wings while grounded
