A month ago, I felt like sure, I can finish out this year's SICs but now not so sure. If I do participate this month, I'll be the FA 43. Don't know really. Sandy's more verbal about it but I'm feeling burnout once again. Got a fall color trip to the eastern Sierra though in early October so I'll be off line for a week - at least - anyway. Don't know, its' going to be a Saturday decision.

I want to use my new Pentax PC 330 and it's 26mm f6.3 plastic lens. I'm really interested in how this simple fixed focus camera preforms.
If that fails I'll be in with my spotmatic and pentacon 50mm f1.8

Now the hard part what film should I use?

I'm spying a Soligor 135mm f1.8 - it's a monster with 82mm filter thread. If I am weak and cave to LBA I will be aboard.

the Tamron I'm using this month has an 82mm thread - on the hood, not the lens (bizarre).....

Is this because of Adelaide's power issues? The insanity of that State government and its decisions will never cease to amaze me.

(For those who don't know, they decommissioned South Australia's one remaining fossil fuel power station, leaving the whole state powered by renewables, and then for good measure they demolished it. When a storm hit a few days back, the wind turbines all shut down, the interconnectors bringing backup fossil-fuel feed from interstate were cut, and the entire state was without power. Thank God the hospitals have backup generators (which run on diesel, I think).

I've heard it was a transmission tower that collapsed that caused the outage. If that's the case, it would be the same outcome regardless of source!

I really can't decide for this month. Either the 15mm DA, a 135mm oddball m42 my dad gave me, or... the 55-300WR? Or the SMC 45mm 645 I've barely touched. Choices choices...
