From an outing to the Brookside Garden Butterfly House in Wheaton MD
While I got a lot of images I like this sequence of a butterfly working a flower.

One of my favorites from yesterday's outing. Mealtime in the Garden.

OPEN & SHUT
This is the same butterfly, in the same location. One shot closed. The second is opened and flipped horizontally in Photoshop. An amateur superimposed image in Photoshop yields the same butterfly looking at itself on the same rock - open and closed.

It is really nice to see all of the photos being displayed in this thread and the knowledge about pollinators being spread

basically as I understand it without them, we are screwed

please keep spreading the word about our efforts

x posting is encouraged

thanks to all

was at the Topeka Zoological Gardens to fool around with the SMC Pentax-DA L 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED WR mounted on the K 3

saw the bee enter the blossom and decided to see what I could get

these cropped photos were as the bee was coming out, the ones where it is deeper in the blossom didn't work

these bees are easier to see

but remember that not all pollinators are as big or pretty or have wings

Noel, that's a beautiful honeybee shot - I like the soft light, the flower 'curtain' and intensely red pollen, something I don't see too often here.
