Wonderful high-key shot - I really need to view this on my photo monitor (currently at my wife's improvised home-office desk), but I think there is colored banding in the gradient on the petal(s), which disappears when I smooth colors out using Gimp. The spotlight is just magic, smoothed out in the highlights it contrasts even better.

What plant is this?

I'm presuming you are referring to my last post. It's an Arum Lily. I've been having problems with color banding for a while now. Thanks for the comment, and pointing that out to me. Will revisit it in Gimp.

The little '>>' at the end of the quote always take you to the quoted post - there wasn't any text, so it was empty otherwise.

I really didn't recognize the spadix, wonderful perspective and DoF to just highlight the rounded tip.

I just learned something. Those '>>' don't appear on the mobile version. Opened up the computer to see and there they are.

Did Someone Mention Pollinators?

Beautiful little False Garlic Plant and Visiting Bee
by Larry Mc, on Flickr

I took a series of these shots and this little bee was in one of them, I never saw him as I was shooting in live view zoomed in with focus peaking.

Not very much action, the bee was comatose in the magnolia due to the cold weather.
