Good idea for a thread.

Here are a few. I used a variety of camera/lens configurations. The first was K100DSuper + Tamron 28-75/2.8, the lens on the second was a manual focus macro.
I did not use a tripod for any of these pictures. Click on the pictures for Exif data.

Too many people don't give butterflies the credit they deserve regarding pollinating methinks. If only they made something as delicious as honey too.

The butterflies are back until the end of April at the Gardens.

K3, Tamron 70-200 2.8, and AF 540 FGZII flash in high sync mode.
