The common Bombus impatiens on Leadplant. Such a fantastic pollinator plant, and an indicator of quality land.

I think this is Bombus rufocinctus, but I could well be wrong. Also on leadplant.

A few on Purple Prairie Clover, another fantastic legume. The bumbles curl around these flower heads, it's sometimes tough to get a good image of their face.
Bombus fervidus

The beautiful Golden Digger Wasp, Sphex ichneumoneus. These big girls subdue and provision nests with insects like Katydids. That'll make a new generation of wasps!

A couple of bumble bee shots taken handheld using 105macro and 1.4tc
The optical quality seems OK but the DOF with the TC is too shallow for me
The bees are so enchanted I can get pretty close
