Bokeh Bonus

Soft and subtle bokeh, wonderful colours, backlight, iridescence bee, it's got it all for me.

The optical quality seems OK but the DOF with the TC is too shallow for me
The bees are so enchanted I can get pretty close
Great shots! Just a note, these are Xylocopa carpenter bees, not Bombus bumblebees. They are closely related, it's easy to be confused. The best ways to tell is Xylocopa typically have bald abdomen (though males are hairier), and the big triangular head is as wide as the body, bumbles don't share this trait.

Thanks Terry
I appreciate the comment and the information about Carpenter and Bumble Bees - I thought they were one and the same.

Here's a green forester - one of my favourite butterflies. Or moths I suppose.
