What is it? Tag #2

Since the old thread was getting pretty long, here's a nice and clean new one where Ole can start with his photo!

Have fun!

Awww...

Hi Mo and David!

That's what was going to be fun about this one - to see how long the thread would go...

Oh well, I'm just glad it's going so well! There have been some really hard entries. It might be easier for 'hybrid' viewing if each new entry for people to guess was posted as a response to the initial post in the thread. But I just switched to linear view and then went to the last page.

David, I never would have guessed that the pepper plant was not something alive and breathing. Your crop sure did look like the skin of an animal. I was going to guess a dark lab!

Power pole

Hi Ole!

Is it the terminal on top of a power pole? Hmmm, that seems like an obvious guess, though. So it's probably much more difficult.

No it's not a power pole, but it is related to power

Yes, question is, what is it a part of? Hint: It is a part of something which is mounted on something which is designed to move.

Ercole,
You're close enough, congratulations!

It was a part of the pantograph of an electrical locomotive.

Your turn!

Good Show Ole, I knew what it was but there are just a few uses for them anymore. I haven't seen an electric train since I was a kid, but Ercole guessed it first.
Very good guess Ercole. Now as they say You guessed it it's your turn in the hot seat. Give us a good one.

Good Shooting.
Cheers: David

Hmm, this one seems familiar...

Is it the top of a lamp?

A finial and a curtain rod?

Hi ercole!

It looks like a finial at the end of a curtain rod or a flag pole with the rod/pole in front of it. Looks like it's sitting on a brick path or patio. Another puzzler!
