It's now sometime on Wednesday, so the challenge is now closed. It's time to pick the winners!
Thanks for hosting last week K-amps and thanks to everyone who played along this week.
You all produced some very nice edits. Of course, trying to whittle them down to my favorites and picking next week's host is always hard. I didn't see many problems with the image that needed serious correction. I was mainly looking for nice color balances, smooth transitions of saturation in the rainbow, and fairly natural processing. I am always open for big creative choices, but in this round, the more creative choices didn't appeal as much to me. My favorites were the more natural-looking.
Kudos to Kerrowdown for bravely turning a spectrum of color and red cliffs into a monotone.
aaacb, Welcome! Thanks for jumping into this challenge for the first time. Your submission was one of my favorites. The only thing keeping yours out of my top 3 was just a little to much purple in your sky. Great processing.
My third most favorite was caliscouser! Very nice job.
Second place goes to Glenn5995. I love the job you did on the sky and with cloning of the distracting elements of the foreground. I was glad to see the fuzzy white ears gone. Several entries deleted this distracting element, but you went much further and did an excellent job cloning out the taller out-of-focus bush. Perhaps, a little less saturation of the cliffs, would've vaulted you in the lead.
First place and the next host goes to Tas! Great job here! You are up!
BTW, This was my edit done last October shortly after it was shot. I think I like Tas' and Glenn5995's version better.
