What passes for a beach here in North Texas (Lake Grapevine). Taken in January with a DA16-45 on K5:

Paul, that looks like a petrified alligator crawling out of the water. (On the other hand, if it's petrified it won't be crawling will it?)

Ha - I never looked at it that way before! Here's another angle - someone got a bit creative with it:

Ice shards washing up on the beach on a walk a few days ago. The ice made the waves quite noisy.

Striking images @jacamar.

Here's another winter beach scene, albeit rather different. Darby Beach, Wilson's Promontory National Park, South Gippsland, Victoria. K-30 + DA 12-24.

It was a dull and cloudy day but I needed to get out and create some images. A walk along the rock shelf between Toowoon Bay and North Shelly Beach. K10D. At least there were no harsh shadows.

Looking south towards Shelly Beach and Crackneck Point.

If you look hard enough you might be able to see New Zealand on the horizon.

I enjoy shooting on those kinds of days - esp in summer when they are a welcome relief from the relentless heat and sun. Great looking photos, Ray.
