My first posting here after being alerted to this thread by my good friend Paul (paulh). I live on the Central Coast of NSW so have no excuse for not being able to provide some beach scenes. So, here goes...

Spoon Bay which is about 5 mins. drive from home.

Lemon Tree Passage at Port Stephens.

Looks like you had a good holiday on the Mornington Peninsula Rod!

Why are you and I the only Aussie Pentaxians posting beach photos? Where's everyone else?
The number of Aussies here has just increased by 50%.

Nothing to get excited about; we could make better pics from a quarry!!
Now now - the thread instigator here lived in Blighty for 30 years before coming to Canada, and I can vouch for a wondrous variety of beach settings, from the ones I posted on the south coast of England to the beautiful cliff-lined coves of Pembrokeshire and Cornwall, and the Algarve-like beaches of the Hebrides (OK, when the weather cooperates). We certainly need some more Brit posters to do them justice.

Welcome to the thread Ray - Australia has a lot more coastline to cover than the UK and we look forward to your contributions.

The quality increase of the images of Aussies might be greater than 50%, Ray!!!
The last image of yours ought to go of the Jetties thread; Jetties & Piers - PentaxForums.com

59,736 kilometres of coastline in Australia, according to Wikipedia, so we have plenty more to go. Then again, not as much to cover as the Canadian contributors have - so you might need some help too @Jacamar. ;-)

Thank you for the compliment, Rod. Much appreciated.
You want jetties? I'll show you one of my favourites...soon!

This is the old coal loader at Catherine Hill Bay. This was taken on March 13, 2011 and was reprocessed tonight with Photoshop CC. I have been back there many times but not at this time of year and this time of day. You need to be there at the right time of year and the right time of day and with the right tide to get this kind of shot. This day everything was just about right and this image is one of my favourites. Pentax K10D, Tamron SP 10-24mm F3.5-4.5 Di II B001.

I have visited all three coasts (Arcific, Atlantic and Arctic} but live a long way from any of them. I'll just have to contribute from Lake Ontario for most of the time and leave the rest to other Canucks.

Ray, you're adding some fine shots to the mix!

A couple old p&s shots from Oxnard, CA taken in 2010. The Channel Islands are in the background.
