This collection of flotsam and jersam is adorning a front yard in Bradford -about as far from the sea as you can get in the UK

He/she won't forget the many trips to the beach to collect all that stuff. What a great find. TFS.

There's not much flotsam or jetsam on this beach, but plenty of room for some; I stepped out 15 metres of dry sand above the high tide mark and then 160 metres down to the water's edge!!

Peggs Beach, north western Tasmania.

Rocks at the eastern end of the beach

This is the old coal loader at Catherine Hill Bay. This was taken on March 13, 2011 and was reprocessed tonight with Photoshop CC. I have been back there many times but not at this time of year and this time of day. You need to be there at the right time of year and the right time of day and with the right tide to get this kind of shot. This day everything was just about right and this image is one of my favourites. Pentax K10D, Tamron SP 10-24mm F3.5-4.5 Di II B001.

You are a truly fantastic photographer that captures stunning images.

Thank you for sharing.

A beautiful sunny day with whispy clouds in the sky so I decided to put the Tamron 10-24mm on the K10D. (X-posted. Not all, but some.)

Lakes Beach. My first visit there.

Soldiers Beach.

According to the definitions, this is neither flotsam nor jetsam. It's just a little colourful and sparkling thing left behind in a rock pool.

And I got to shoot a couple of whales with a 10-24mm lens! It just happens to be a very nice piece of artwork on the toilet block. I couldn't resist.

If you tell anyone you are going to Tasmania, you will get a list of dozens of places to go and things to see.
Tassie is only small (average of about 260 kilometres north and south, and the same east and west.) but there is plenty to see, both in natural history and in early European settlement history.
One friend told me only two things I must see, and the Tessellated Pavement was one of them!

MONA, Port Arthur, Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair, Freycinet, Tarkine, Mt Field, Tahune Airwalk, Bruny Island, Ross, Gordon River/Strahan, just to mention a few.

I'm going to have a swag of photos to show from my Tassie trip last year when I finally finish processing them.
