Apparently cooler heads prevailed, and the needle was dropped, but subsequently, 2 other photos were promoted - alas, neither with my Single-In lens

So day 2 has passed and maybe day 3 will pass before I start. I'm starting to wonder if I should just pick another lens! I've been too busy to get my equipment from my wife's spare studio room! I have a body here and a "few" lenses (the vast majority). I'm leaning towards just picking something and shooting with it. LOL.

As for Fisheye April... I'm tentatively considering it. I could do dual fisheye work - single in with the 8mm Rokinon and daily in with the 9mm Olympus body cap lens... and perhaps some adapted 8mm work from time to time... but that's a lot of fisheye.

As for potential lenses for this month if I can't get to the studio when a class isn't between me and my equipment...

Here's what I have not used in a while:

Takumar Bayonet 135mm f/2.5
FA* 300mm f/4.5
DA 12-24 f/4
DA 55-300

Or I can slug it out and get the DA* 16-50 and try to climb back on the wagon with it.

Most Definitely! That Rokinon 8mm is a pleasure to use in almost any situation.

Depends on who owns it, Rob. I'm glad I sold it to you and am happy you're getting pleasure from it. I won't be buying another any time soon.

I have nothing for today. I just couldn't stay awake. Nephew said it might be the weather change. Yesterday it was 80 degrees here, today the high barely reached 70.

About another week before I'm back home and ready to pick up the S-M-C- Macro-Tak for the rest of March.

In the meantime, the DA18-135 has been fully justifying itself on the K-5 for just about everything, particularly as we've been making our way to and fro in rather wet weather, and the DA15 shone brilliantly as expected on the museum ships. No other lens in my possession could have done the job, except possibly my Tokina 17/3.5 on film (but previous experiences mean I will never trust film with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities again).

In the meantime, the FA50/1.4 is quietly getting the odd keeper on film. My MX was the right camera to bring this time around, and the SMC-M 40/2.8 would simply have been too slow.

We're only three days in, and I'm really impressed by the overall quality of the photos that have been posted so far. It's been great, and it's inspiring me to stretch as well.

Kudos to all.

I could fisheye
I like to fisheye
I wish I fisheye could

March 2nd and a 20mm film photo from a recent vacation have hit explore... something is wrong because that is 5 images in 2 days... the March 2nd HDR has actually got over 25,000 views and became my 2nd most viewed.

I'm off to Orlando for a family Vacation - Davenport actually - but I might be a little late to post and comment. (I've been trying to be disciplined and give you all your due).

I got nothing for today. Granddaughter and her family came over and left just about 20 minutes ago. Between eating lunch and showing her more about what settings to use on her K10D I've not gotten anything for myself today. Now I'm too tired to got outside and try to get something. Three adults and one six year old can wear me out.

We're barely a week into March and we're already talking about April! Something is definitely fishy. I'm in!

I missed out on the 9th, dental surgery.

I've been making a photobook for a departing family's gift. Sorting out suitable pictures, and grouping them to fit on a page, and sequencing them for themes or subjects, has been a good exercise and an opportunity for self critique.
