Post Processing Challenge #215 - MINI in the Snow

Thanks again to Todd for picking me in the last round So here goes:

It's been an unusually cold & wet one up here in the PNW - last month provided a perfect opportunity to go play in the snow with my car & my camera. Two things I love to do the most.

It may not be the most technically perfect of shots, but It's got a lot of hidden character & opportunities in it - besides... everyone needs to learn how to deal with a bit of blown-out snow, right ??

Let's give this one a full week - ending Friday, Mar 31 Midnight Seattle time. Just in time for April Fool's Day - whoo hoo! (And incidentally, just about the same time I'm hopping in that little blue beast for a road-trip back to AZ)
As usual, multiple entries are always welcome. Have fun - looking forward to see what you can come up with.

Well I know what I want to do, indeed I have a couple of concepts I just don't know my skills are up to the task. But that's what I like about this challenge, maybe I can't do it but I will give it a go anyway.

Gee todd, the tree branches are reaching out to grasp the car in this interpretation, I hope you plan on a darker spookier version.

Man you suck, this is exactly the direction I'd headed.

I had another concept that's similar so I will pursue that instead.

I thought the moss on the trees made the picture.

Okie doke... lets wrap this thing up. I was really hoping that someone would take the Apri Fools bait and go over the top... but sadly, not this time.

todd: oooh, like the old "polar bear in a snowstorm" joke. Thankfully we didn't get much more or it would have looked just like your pic around here.
capmariegos: you probably squeezed the most out of those trees. great texture.
ismaelg: i liked where you were headed with this... it surely is a great shot for a night time conversion (you even got the license plate lights in there too
PiotrKrochmal: very nice interpretation of the original scene - you polished my car all shiny too - thanks!
Rimfiredude: I agree with you on the moss. Looks great. (I wish the bottom half on the first one were a bit crisper though, snow can be a pain!)
D1N0: Now we just need some pie & coffee - love the "Twin Peaks" nod! there really are spooky things out there in the woods!

so.... this round, I'm choosing : PiotrKrochmal for our winner. I thought it was the best over-all treatment. I'm giving Rimfiredude the runner up for the awsome moss. ( It really was a close call for me) THANKS TO ALL

Tag, Piotr - you're up next !

And.... in the spirit of April 1.... here is yet more convincing proof that It's just not safe in the woods around here (actually I think the poor guy is just after that aforementioned cherry pie & coffee )
