In Spring & Summer of '15 we had torrential rain & lake flooding in Texas. This was taken between storms. The foreground water is an actual pond, the rest is a flooded park and soccer field.

Wow. I remember the news about the state of emergency(?) back then. If a big flat field like a park looked like that, no wonder some other parts of Texas were severely damaged. I'm happy that you were safe enough to get a good picture out of it, paulh.

It was crazy - we got something like 20 inches of rain that June. I took advantage of the photo ops, bringing my camera along on bike rides and hikes around the lake (most of the park roads were not driveable / flooded). Folks were even kayaking on the roads & trails! This park was especially affected since it's adjacent to the lake.

We've had something similar over here, with toerental rain and strong winds in one place and just a bit of rain and some wind some ten kilometres further. I guess it's the climate and how it's getting weirder.

One from a couple of years ago, an evening when rain came in when we were camping in Jotunheimen, Norway.

I know you all have suffered under drought conditions for quite some time.

After the storm passed over the Shenandoah Valley

Wow, that is an amazing image, especially with the isolated cloud.

An older image, from when we were hiking in Wales and ended up in the clouds that were covering the top of the mountains, making for quite a disorienting experience.
