This storm was so bright and loud we had to pause our movie last night. So I figured I'd set the camera up on the porch. (x-post)

Could have been a good picture had I payed a little more attention to my way off camera settings...heavy PP

WOW!! Matt. That;s awesome! I love this kind of weather but our lightning never streaks like that, just flashes. At least, here in Florida on the east coast I've never seen strikes.

Our bad weather is coming but isn't here yet. It's hurricane season now but the storms seems to be going in the gulf or way out toward the east and north of us. We're near Daytona and I though we'd see a storm or two by now but nope, it's not happened yet. Still waiting.

Thanks! I got one bolt in Florida on Marco Island a few years ago so they do exist there. The wide open skies here in Western Colorado make them a lot easier to see and photograph!
