For a bloke like me in Oz, even for one who comes from Tasmania, it is difficult to comprehend some of the winter scenes captured and shared here.I've spent time in snow in Tasmania and the South Island of NZ but when it's summer here the sensations and moments of cold are difficult to recall to empathise fully. My apologies for that but thank you for sharing.

One of the winter effects we get here in Brisbane may not look that bad, but it's difficult to drive of course and it's really dull light unless you can get to the right elevation. This scene is one of those days where the moisture in the air creates something special and I had to capture it and the city buildings in those conditions. Hopefully it's 'bad enough' to be considered bad weather to exist in this thread but if not let me know and I'll swap it for something else.

This is the view of Brisbane from Mt Coot-Tha with a particularly heavy fog visiting for the morning. the image was captured with the K-1 and the Zeiss Makro Planar T* 2/100 ZK. This image is best viewed on Flickr using the full screen option (press F11 & L).

Almost the entire week has been grey fog, and icy mist. Perfect!
This month has been so busy, but I did get out for a bit to make the most of the day, and I wasn't the only one who likes this place.

Storm approaching the lighthouse at Wilsons Promontory (from a boat trip in 2018). This rather remote place is the southernmost point of the Australian mainland.* K-3 + DA 55-300 PLM.

* Tasmanians will regard this as a rather unimpressive claim to fame, because all of Tasmania is further south, starting with rocky islets just south of the Prom.

Sand storm could be pretty bad around here in the desert. Pano stitch shot with Pentax Q7 at Hanford, WA, USA in 2017. Five minutes after this I had to drive away as sand grains started hitting me and my camera.

Dramatic image. Washington state must be one of the most geographically diverse in the union, with everything from deserts to savannah to glaciers to rainforest.

Nice, the monochrome works very well in this one.

Some bad weather from a few weeks ago, before we had gloriously clear crisp freezing days:

Thanks - wonderful shots from you as well. I love the mood that fog imparts on images!
