Nice shot! Do you get any mountain brushtails?
Thanks Rob. No we don't have them in the immediate area, but there are populations across Gippsland. Presumably you have them in the Brindabellas?

I'm not sure. I know bobucks from Lamington National Park. I know they're found in Victoria but I'm not sure about the ACT, oddly enough. The Canberra nature map has only one unconfirmed sighting on Bendora road last month. I need to do some spotlighting!

More of our resident Swamp Wallabies.

KP + DA 55-300 PLM at 300mm. Big fella.

KP + FA*300 f4.5. We have seen this female with the distinctive torn right ear for at least 5 years. She has another joey in the pouch here.

I took this shot back in 2016. K-3 + FA*300mm f4.5. The light was very poor - well into twilight. Even at 1/50th sec, f5 and 6400 ISO it was still heavily underexposed. But I have recently reprocessed it with DxO's PL5 and its DeepPrime noise reduction, which uses AI. I pushed the DeepPrime slider a long way. It did very well. Finished it in Nik Color Efex.

Still suffers from the slow shutter but pretty amazing outcome in the circumstances.

Great image, thanks for sharing. I am definitely going to upgrade to my version of DXO PL at some point.

My dog on her leash knew there was a rabbit here, but she couldn't see it! I did!

Thanks very much Dave. From memory this was a one-handed shot, holding the flash at arm's length in my left hand, using a wireless trigger on the camera. Just changing the angle of the flash a little bit makes a big difference. I can't remember, but I might have used my red-light headtorch for focus assistance. Pretty impressive AF on the KP in those conditions.
