Well heck, my post for July 9th, got explored! My third one on flicker in 10 years. Nice.
Nice one, always good when Flickrs finger of fate falls on you.

My rose shot from yesterday got explored too, the barrage of notifications has killed my ageing phones battery as a side effect!
Looks like the In Explore bot is still down too.

I had fallen a few days behind in posting. I have now posted shot from July 9 through today (Except for July 10) and I will attempt to get caught up with critique in the next couple of days,

Well now, in your case, I would totally agree, that was a great shot. Well done.

Holly cats! My DA 50 lens 'test' of the flowers hit explore today. I'm floored, two explores in a month. Go figure.

Folks, I'm just not getting it done. I'm going to step back for awhile until the weather cools a bit and hopefully I get this infernal skin condition under control.

it was mentioned in the remarks of my shot yesterday about the aperture of the lens not stopping down - I think you are right; it seems to be rather unreliably stopping down...

granted, I bought the lens for the f1.2 end of it, but I'll be asking the seller if there had been a previous issue that had gone unreported...

could it be due to the anodized mount that green-button metering fails to meter properly?

EDIT:

it is the anodized mount; slip a bit of foil over the contacts and green-button metering magically reappears...

So, to beat the heat I finally went swimming in our local lake. While there, I realized it would be the perfect place to use the Ricoh WG-20's Water Proof capabilities. Next time I go I will bring it with me.

Back home from my weekend in Wales and posted my shots, I will try and go through and check out everyones pictures over the course of the day. Yesterday I took my MX out for a spin with a roll of retro 80s, which I should hopefully get developed and scan one in this evening for my shot today.

Good grief. What is up with Flickr? My grain elevator shot hit Explore this morning ... the third photo in a month's time. I didn't think their algorithm allowed that. I'm not complaining, by any means; it's just weird.

EDIT: It looks like the "in explore" bot is back up and running, too.

Two for me. I like it but, I really didn't think my work was that good.

Your work is good, but that isn't among the criteria for explore. It only needs to be "interesting," whatever that is.
