I still don't know what I'm going to use..

Seeing so many 50s I might take my Cosinon 50/1.8 which is pretty soft and fun at times, but I don't think I'll be in yet.. I'm taking a few days off

OK, I'm going to try to be in. I will be travelling quite a lot in October; so many weeks may be jpeg OOC from me. I've had the FA31 for a few months and haven't warmed up to it. Going to try a month with it and see if we can't hit it off. Her 43mm sister was an instant hit with me, and still seems my favorite of the 3. Though the 77 is clearly better, on crop, the 43 is more useful. The 31 should be also very useful, so we'll see if she can steal my heart.

Cheap zoom this month and a welcome...

A work deadline on September 30 put a crimp in my posting the last week. Data submitted at 11:59 pm last night, so hopefully I'll be able to post a bit more regularly once I recover from the last week. I picked up an old lens, but new in the box, a couple of months ago, Quantaray MC Auto Zoom 70-210mm F4.0-5.6 Macro. It is an A lens so that should be fun. It was very inexpensive and certainly not a quality lens so we'll see if I can find its sweet spot. After shooting the DA 70 Limited in September, it will be a challenge to use.

Just joined the group and will be doing my first "Single in...". Hope I can keep up. Just took delivery on a Macro-Takumar Preset 50mm f4, so I guess this will be a good way to get familiar with it.
Welcome! This group really is a great way to get familiar with a lens. I look forward to seeing how your new old lens works for you.

Well hot damn! Have been explored! Near enough first shot in anger with the Macro 50. Maybe I should tell Jen that Flickr seems to like my "abstract cr@p"

Thank you Jim P. I have kind of stagnated lately, photographically speaking, and am leaning on this commitment to push me back into the groove.

As I suspected my M35/2 didn't focus to infinity and CIF agreed with me by refusing to acknowledge the distant objects before I adjusted the focus ring. Now it's set, everything works properly and I'm ready for landscapes. All I need is weather to co-operate.

The "flat" version of my new book release photo made it to Explore! ^_^

Had a "mandatory fun" activity for work last night, so I'll be playing catch up this evening. (It was fun, though!)

Inspected yesterdays focusing problems today. Tested m35 and m50 on both of my cameras. Apparently CIF in K5 is not as accurate as it is in K30. I've already earlier noticed that it's less sensitive in low light, but didn't expect accuracy issues as k30 is always accurate when CIF is able to lock on target and all miss focused shot are due to me pointing in wrong spot. Good to know. I will relay less on CIF in future with k5 and try to do sports and portraits with k30.
