It's October, that time of year for cooler weather, dying trees, and all things spooky. Let's have a little fun, show us your "ghosties".

Great idea! This is something I find myself doing from time to time, most recently

This one isn't ghostly in that the figure is solid, but I think it fits the theme,

More in my Flickr stream but I wont bore you with them all just yet.

Seems we've hit a slowdown. For those who don't know how to take a ghostie, read the quick and dirty instructions below.

So you want to take a ghostie:

1.) set camera to manual.
2.) use some form of remote to activate shutter
3.) do a long exposure shot
4.) stay in frame for approximately one-third of your shutter time
5.) quickly get out of frame
6.) review shot, retry varying timing/settings as needed

I think it would be pretty amusing if someone was capable of having an entire auditorium full of people for a rock concert make a ghostie (ends up ghost performers and ghost audience).

If the lighting was set right, it would work, maybe flashing strobes would work , too.
