Hey everyone, long time no post! I've fallen off the photography band wagon after a move in the summer. Want to get back into it, I was thinking of joining on with the Zenitar 16mm if you folks will have me joining mid month!

I’ll get caught up posting and do some commenting tomorrow or Monday. This is my 3 day work weekend of 14 hour days.

I found out today that my vintage Sigma Pantel lens has a mount held on by set screws - kind of like a T-mount, but with the stop-down button built in. I found this out when I dropped my bag from the table to a carpeted floor, and the main lens separated from the mount assembly. Fortunately no permanent damage done, except perhaps to my peace of mind.

I solved my dilemma of which 300mm lens to buy... a forum member made me an offer that was difficult to refuse:

FA* 300mm f4.5 + Tamron 1.4x teleconverter + tripod foot + case... all for a price that could not be dismissed....

That is awesome! I was looking for that lens but couldn't find one. I ended up buying a K 300 f/4 from a forum member. It's in new condition and I love the lens!

Have fun!

Might have to talk to you about the 500...

The K300 is a great lens with amazing rendering. The only drawback I found with it is the minimum focusing distance being 13 ft.
