Challenge #240

G'Day everyone,

Welcome to PP Challenge #240, the plan is for one week as usual meaning the challenge will end on Monday 13 November, Australian Eastern Standard Time (GMT +10).

This image is all about the open space, and at low tide provides a unique vista with the opportunity to capture some good cloudscapes as a backdrop. The image was captured with the K-1 and Zeiss 21/2.8 with no particular emphasis on any part of the scene. Hopefully the expansive location and different elements captured means there's plenty of choices to explore when interpreting and creating your vision of the scene. I processed a different version of this capture and will post that at the end of the challenge.

Here's the challenge image

Two options to work with, one jpeg the other DNG RAW can be found in this folder: My Files

(I tested this link and it seems to be working fine, if not please reply to this post and I will fix any stuff ups. )

*******************************

A note to the winner: Please copy and post this info into the next challenge.

A claustrophobic chiarascuro version focusing on the tree.

In an attempt to create something else, I'll ditch the water from foreground and go for cloudscape in panorama style:

My first time with this competition, so I'm not sure how far you can go. I added a sunrise and some morning mist as well as general adjustments.

I couldn't access the raw file, the web page would not open.

So many great elements in this one. Went for something a little different to highlight the trees, while still trying to keep the drama in the sky

You're not wrong there. I've dropped by for each new posting and can't believe how many strong images keep appearing. It's been inspiring to see though, I love how one image can be interpreted in so many ways.
