I really like playing with these Topaz filters. Took this butterfly image earlier today.
I have applied, 3D Sketch II L in the Maco setting.

I wouldn't even call these topaz creations. Topaz enhanced but the photo itself is still the main. Not sure how you draw the line. Certainly topaz sharpener doesn't count. Ultimately good job using topaz to make the photo.

I use Topaz Clarity and Adjust in almost every image I take, and they all look just like real photos, not a surreal aspect in any of them anywhere, so yeah there is definitely 'Topaz' and then 'TOPAZ!!'

I agree Bruce.. I like the subtle Topaz and I also like the over the top use. I enjoy playing with these filters.

Topaz Studio has crashed on both of my PC's- possibly with an update, but I'm not sure exactly. I stupidly attempted to apply a "Topaz debugger" on one machine and that was a mistake which has further complicated matters. Topaz tech support has been very disappointing, so I basically can no longer use the software at this point.

That's a shame. I personally don't use Studio, just the stand alone plugins that seem to crash very very rarely (though they have a couple of times, usually when I've been 30mins into an edit! Gah!).
The plugins I like, but apart from Simplify there aren't much of the funkier type effects to play with.

That is a bummer.

Yay!

This shot is cool, kinda like a double exposure or a texture pack overlay.

Thanks! It's one of the the Urban Art filters in Impression. and some LR. I noticed the birds a couple of mornings ago as I drove past and had to stop.

Hah, like this a lot.

I know it's hard work but I would try for a kinda 'phasing into' this effect on the face and leave some of the other parts of the frame normal or perhaps just less dramatic/enhanced effect. I'm not sure how I'd go about that, Layering probably, might be really neat to see that effect be graduated rather than the entire frame 'suffering' from it.
Usually when I try such things I lose 1hr at the computer and then bung the image in the bin realising it was actually just a bad idea and it was better when the effect was global
