Well, it is time to wrap up Challenge #243. I want to thank each of you who contributed. There were many different approaches taken with this image, which is what I enjoy about these challenges, but it is also what makes selecting the next host such a challenge, as there is no "right" way to process an image each is simply different with its own merits.
JHwfp - I am glad to see Tom could stop by for a visit. From his shirt, I gather this is not his first visit.
dlneubec - You presented three versions. The choice of an almost panoramic vertical image really accentuates the height of the fall.
jcomley - You choice a crop which brings the focus to the stream with the fall as the background.
MarkJerling - You choice to emphasize the color and bring out the greens.
todd - You brought one of the B&W versions to the table, which helps hide the blown out sky.
Tas - You contributed two entries, one colorful and the other less saturated. You selected a crop to keep the waterfall, but remove the blown out sky.
astonm - You went with a panoramic tilt-shift look, shifting the focus to the trees.
tuggie76 - You elected to use a warmer panoramic view.
Arizona Dave - You entered a B&W and a color version. Like with the other B&W entries, the choice hides the blown out sky. You choice to replace the sky in your color version.
This is never easy for me, but I must:
Third Place is awarded to: astonm
Second Place goes to: Tas for your natural version
And the host for the next challenge will be: Arizona Dave for your B&W version. You surprised me as I had not thought I would like a B&W version, but you really made it work. Congratulations!
