Thanks for taking the time for commenting. I'm liking your train shots so interesting. No 5 is part of a stretch tent used for the end of event (10km walk) presentations and celebrations.

Beautiful photos so far. I would have eventually done a thread like this, but fortunately, Pascal beat me to the punch this year. I've been out of town, so once I get everything back together again, I'll try to post some photos (choosing them is always kind of tough).

It is indeed, which is what makes it such a valuable exercise. One of the things that makes judging one's own work hard is the connection and associations one has with the image and/or the process of making it. Selecting one's best 10 or 12 photos from the year is an opportunity -- and challenge -- to take a fresh look, and figure out what worked and what didn't. Very helpful going forward.

So in order to give it a theme, I am doing "12 Months and 12 Lenses". No I don't do the Single In Challenge, if I had this would have been easier. But I try to mix it up and use most of my lenses. So here goes.

January. Pentax DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited. The Missouri State Capitol from the north side of the Missouri River

February. Pentax D FA 50mm f/2.8 Macro. Amaryllis in our front entryway.

March. Pentax DA 15mm f/4 Limited. Pedestrian Walkway on the Highway 19 Bridge over the Missouri River at Hermann, MO.

April. Pentax DA 21mm f/3.2 Limited. The Fountains at the Branson Landing, Branson, MO.

May. Vivitar/Cosina 28mm f/2.8. A twilight shot of the Dome on the Missouri State Capitol.

June (actually I cheated a little, take in early July). Pentax M 50mm f/1.4. Damselfly by the Creek behind our House.

July. Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye. Lake Michigan from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, MI

August. Pentax M 50mm f/1.7. Grass on the KATY Trail, near "North Jefferson" Parking Area.

September. Pentax A 35mm f/2.8. Praying Mantis on the KATY Trail, near "North Jefferson" Parking Area.

October. Pentax D FA 100mm f/2.8 Macro WR. Small Barn on the KATY Trail, East of the "North Jefferson" Parking Area.

November. Pentax K 24mm f/3.5. Railroad Tracks and I-44 in Webster Groves, MO.

December. Rokinon 10mm f/2.8. Cloudscape along the KATY Trail, East of the "North Jefferson" Parking Area.
