I so like this photo. I know how I want it to look, but I'm still way off. Maybe next time...

LR adjustments including curve and perspective/horizon correction then finishing off in Silver-Efex Pro for Ilford HP5 emulsion and a custom crop in the end to contain the scene, maybe 10-15mins work

It was much going on in this image, I tried to condense it.

Challenge results.

And now for the results:
  • dlneubec: You had two entries themed in blue skies and leaving much of the under exposure in the image. They me feel a bit blue too
  • Todd: You did a very neat job making use of the dynamic range of the camera. HNYTYT
  • Tas: You took a nice 3:4 crop and lifted the exposure very well. The concrete of the unfinished building ended up a bit too blotchy though.
  • Jcomley: A desaturated take compensated with fluorescent accents. Interesting.
  • MortenV: Another darkish approach. I think the sky comes out a bit better here.
  • JHfwp: A b+w square edit. I like it. The guy looking up is in the right place, you tilted the image a bit. Maybe you were afraid the unfinished building would fall over otherwise .
  • Astonm: Finally snow! Too bad it was too late for Christmas. A very fine edit as usual.
  • noelcm: You went for the sepia look. I think this one could use some more sign of ageing and maybe some grain.
  • Elpolodiablo: A contrasty Black and white. You got rid of some context making it easier to consume for the eye.
  • Larsw: This is a surprising one because you moved the guy looking up thereby changing the perspective of the shot. Nice find.

And now for the winner: For surprising me. @LarsW You won!

runners up are Tod JHfwp and Astonm
