Game Daily in February 2018 - discussion thread

It occurs to me that 'Desperate Measures' for me (and others) may happen due to lack of time....

Just came on to see about the themes, reckon that's a good choice. Bonus that the shot I got today sort of fits as well. Mind you most days it's a case of making the most of the less than ideal conditions at the moment.

I have decided for better or worse to try out some new software this month, specifically Capture One. I quite fancied trying it out and they offer a very generous 30 day trial of the full program.
This does mean I will have to switch to windows (from a rock solid Linux distro) as my daily driver, something I have mixed feelings about. Rawtherapee, whilst very good, is missing a few things that I would like to explore, mainly some sort of local editing/adjustment feature.

Big learning curve ahead but should be enlightening.

Edit.
Just saw the face value theme, that's way beyond my comfort zone! Might struggle with that one.

Well it's a challenge! Personally I'm really struggling with the desperate measures theme. Yes, these themes are challenging. Do the best you can is about all I can say.

Yes my first entries were under those conditions but then a lot my shots are since I don't have much time after work, lol ...

My tree picture from Friday got explored too, a last minute entry just as I was taking the pet pic last night, also last minute.

Ah yes, extending the image; i suppose that must include interval shots, multiple exposures and various combinations of too. Could be an interesting week :-)

Well, this thread seems to be working so my internet is fine - having a few issues with Flickr tonight so I am well behind.
Got todays picture but struggling to do anything with it - as well as taking forrrrrrrrrrrrevvvvvvvverrrrr to comment.
Oh well, there's always tomorrow!!!
