A January Northeaster rolled through Ocean City in January 2016 and "modified" fishing pier.

Here is a picture of the OC Pier - Pre Storm


Here is the shortened version of the OC Pier - Post Storm


The missing parts of the pier ended up in the middle of the parking lot about a quarter mile South of the fishing pier along with a couple of feet of sand from the over wash.


Lesson learned - Don't take Mother Nature for granted.

This tourist servicing pier or dock on a lake in Idaho is unlikely to suffer a similar fate.
