Let's widen out from the Peninsula, while staying in Victoria. This is Port Welshpool Long Jetty in South Gippsland (Little Snake Island and Wilson's Promontory in the background). Built in the 1930s from local Yellow Stringybark (Eucalyptus muelleriana), it's 908m long. It was designed to be strong and wide enough for a train to run on. It has fallen into disrepair, but some restoration works are underway.
