Post Processing Challenge #252 - Grow Your Own Porsche

Thanks again for choosing me on that last round

I have a confession. My beloved K-3 isn't my only camera. I also have a Panasonic Lumix ZS-100. It's a great little grabNgo with a 1" sensor. (and hey, it says "Leica" on the front, that ought to be good for something ) I thought I'd add a shot I took a week or so ago with it - all in the interest of "research" of course. Fun to compare sometimes. I've included the native .RW2 file (which works fine in PS-CC) and also used the Adobe .DNG converter in case anyone needed a different format. (Please let me know if there are any problems with any of the files.)

Griot's Garage - the high end car detailing guys - have their big headquarters near me in Tacoma, WA. They do a monthly "Caffiene & Gasoline" (aka Cars & Coffee). This shot is of the quirky display featuring a Classic Porsche Speedster near their front door. I like to think they planted some Porsche seeds a few years ago, and this thing is now ready to harvest. One thing about casual car shows - it's never easy to tell everyone to get the heck out of the shot, or move the cars to a better spot. It's always a challenge unto itself. See what you guys can do to clean up the scene and HAVE FUN WITH IT !!

Let's end this the evening of Tues March 20 - Seattle time.

What a fun image to work with, Laurie

A pretty straightforward attempt from me... heavy cropping, some cloning, extreme clarity on both the raw file and resized export, contrast, white balance and colour tweaking, a bit of distortion, some vignetting, and heavy sharpening on the export file. All done in Lightroom

Another heavy crop but not quite as tight. B&W conversion to Tri-x and a few tweaks.

I could try hosting it on my google drive for you. Send me a PM with your google id and I will try. I downloaded the DNG previsouly not the RW2.

Thanks Uncle Vanya, I'm not sure about Google Drive, but I seem to have a page under my e-mail account.

I would delete that email if I were you. Spammers look for data like that in forums. I have already setup the share - check your email and see if it works. If it does you should be able to download it from me.
