Another question... are the photos we submit supposed to be freshly squeezed, or archival, or does it matter?

Does not matter. Just state what they are for consistency and clarity purposes.

Remember though, the purpose of the contest is primarily to encourage people to try manual focus and learn new things.

Fresh baking encouraged but not at all required.

We all want to win but we also want to help others develop as photographers as well.

Question: Do we only get tp post one photo or could we post multiples?

Went out today looking for bif but only saw bif -- no birds, only bees. My best shot, taken with a Vivitar Series 1 90-180mm f4.5

Yes, focus trap. Small backyard birds are too fast and too unpredictable to use af.

Gave my old Rikenon 50mm F/2 a spin today. This would fall into the "Stationary" category. Combined with the Raynox 150

Originally the intention was to have max one shot per category.

Hopefully we can get more people participating in the contest aspect of it then after that we can share all we want and make this a photo sharing thread if we like.

I reserve the right to revise this though. Hopefully we can get more people on board to try out manual focus to their abilities. If it will encourage more participation we can examine all options.
