Lighthouses

Is there a lighthouse thread in the Forum?
If not there should be!
I have see a number of great lighthouse images spread throughout other threads, but have not seen them in one place.
Here are a couple to start.
If you have some images, please do tell where they were made.

If there is already a thread, perhaps the mods could add this to it!

Point Lonsdale, at the entrance to Port Philip, Victoria

I'm a fan of the lighthouses, and have a few shots my self which I'd have to dig for... I second a thread for this.

Port Douglas.

This has to be the smallest ever but it was a functioning lighthouse. Now resident in a beachside park. Yes, those blocks are about the same size as a standard house brick.

Cape Otway light house, Victoria

The lantern (no longer in service - a beacon is now used, which is in a separate structure)

The stonework and stairs. - Apparently each mason created a different texture/striations on the stones they cut, and so if you knew the particular masons work, you could pick out each stone he cut!!
The blocks are placed without mortar.

Point Bonita, Marin Co, CA. The nearby Nike missile museum has an occasional tour.

The trail is open on a schedule. You have to go through a tunnel in the rock.

This one is now part of Flagstaff Maritime Museum at Warrnambool Victoria.

The view from the top; in the foreground are the grounds of the museum, then Lady Bay and the breakwater.
