Shoulda tried even harder...

Scotland shouts hieratic, hieratic... you should be taken ootside immediately and dealt with in a most serious manner.

Just as well... otherwise you too would be in the hieratic category and be open to be dealt with accordingly.

A fine piece of Northern imagery, if I may say so.

We Scots seem to have done really well, with our "World Thistle Domination" plan.

You 'ain't' just whistling Scotland the Brave.

Braeside Park where I took the dead thistle photo probably has more thistles than Scotland has Scots.

Given I had two Scottish Grandmothers, I guess I'm half Scottish myself and since the other half is English, French and a little German you could say I'm mostly Scottish.

Therefore, in a few weeks when the thistles are in flower, I will post a pretty thistle for you.

Something I've never seen in my yard. Not for this area of Florida, that I know of anyway, Sir! Perhaps too hot here for them to grow.
