Not a lot of paint on that one Bill.
(Even if you posted the colour version, it might look much the same!)
Nice image.

Not necessarily past its prime condition, but certainly past its prime purpose;
Originally a railway station, now on a disused line, and used as a "comfort station" (toilet).

Des Det Res

Sent to photograph this desirable property again (I did it about three years ago) and to be honest it's not looking any better, it certainly has more structural support on it now.

Here's my poetic version of the estate/realtor agent blurb describing the place.

Desirable detached property, could benefit from some decorative updating and a little refurbishment to the extensive grounds.

Master Craftsman

Originally built in the late 7th century and in 1309, converted to the fortress with major modifications that you can see today.

I've donated some shots of buildings due for demolition and street frontages being redeveloped to our municipal archive. Once the buildings are gone it's about all that's left!

Mmm - good thought - I don't know hy photographers are so drawn to buildings sliding into derelection - I think it must be to do with the stories they evoke in your mind, but I've found myself photographing many buildings that have since been pulled down

Whille we're at it - here's another one for the thread that I posted to Flickr this morning the old YMCA in Llanelli, S. Wales - not a great photo, but a sad reflection of a town that's seen prouder days
