Defense tower nr. 15 "Luitgarde" of Archduke Maximilian's Fortification of Linz

We are getting progressively older for the record, a stone circle doesn't constitute a building. This however ^^^ this is an edifice and a wonderful photo

Thank you.
The defense tower is actually not that old, it was built between 1831-1834.

When I took this photo of Lowe Brother's Rigging in Kenton, Ohio a couple years ago it was still in use, probably still is.

The second image looks nice.
I think for the high resolution (on flickr) it needs a little more noise reduction applied, but in the lower resolution I even like the noise in the image.

it's funny - I pay attention to noise in the background of my wildlife shots but didn't really think of it here in a shot that was obviously taken in very low light where you might expect a bit of graininess.

An old Sheffield steel plant that was mothballed about a decade ago. During the time I've lived in the area the mill took in train loads of scrap iron and smelted the scrap into rebar and railroad spikes. This is the last vestige of the mill as it was razed back in the winter.

These are really great - places where people spent their working lives and that often disappear without trace.
