Roll the odometer - post your #9999

Have you rolled over the numbers on your camera so it started over at 1? Post the image you took just before it started over.

Anything above #9990 will be accepted, but the closer to #9999 the better. It doesn't have to be your best work.

I've done it twice with my K-7. Apparently I take lots of pictures of butterflies - my wife would say too many.

Dang, this has happened several times on two different bodies. I will see what I can do.

Realized that the shutter is 25k, not 15k. Checked and found out that the previous time it rolled over it was between some basketball games, I only kept a few of the hundreds shot per game and none between 9990-9999

It was a throwaway set (no keepers) following my favorite bug - the period-sized "velvet mite" which I never seem to get keepers of...

Shot 9997

...and shot 9999.

Later the same day, (0025) I did get a good one of this little root maggot fly, who made an easier subject in several ways, being bigger, and staying still for a long time.

It took me just shy of seven years to break 10k shots on my camera - most of the people round here shoot a lot more often than I do I think, but it still feels like I get good use out of my equipment. I'm quite proud of some of the images (like the one above) I've managed to capture over the years.
